Google Chrome : How to clear history

Google Chrome is the latest browser that is rocking the web these days. This short guide shows you three methods how to clear the browsing history under chrome. Browser History  is a feature that keeps track of information about your previous navigation such as web addresses visited, the text of the cached web pages, images/thumbnails,that are displayed when you open a “New Tab”. The history feature also allows you to find a site that you would like to re-explore, but is also used by Google Chrome, which uses this information to suggest you addresses quickly while typing in the address bar. There are three methods you can delete your history under chrome :                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Method 1 :

Step 1: Click the “Customize and control Google Chrome” Icon and then “History” from the dropdown menu.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Step 2: Click on “Edit Items” in the right side

You can now select which website history you want to delete and click on Remove Selected Items.                                                                                                                                                                         Method 2 :

Step 1: Click the “Customize and control Google Chrome” Icon and select “Options.”

Step 2: Then select the tab “Under the Hood” and click “Clear Browsing Data“.                                                                           
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Step 3:A new window will appear .Choose “the beginning of time” if you want to completely empty the history. You can also choose to delete this information on the last 4 weeks, the past week or the last day you browsed the web.Next check the boxes ‘Clear browsing history‘,’Clear download history‘ like in the screenshot below :

Step 4: The hit the button “Clear browsing data” and your history is cleared!                                                  
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Note :
Clearing your  Download history does not delete the actual file you downloaded.  It will only erase the trace of the source where you downloaded the file.
