Skype has more features than you think.......... Skype Overview
Skype is a chat software that presents an apex level of video, voice and
instant messaging experience that gets superior every single day. Setup and
sign-up are a walk in the park, and the software supports practically anything
close to a headset or a webcam available in the bazaar. Once familiar with the
interface, frankly takes a few minutes, it's extremely easy to test video and
voice quality for free. The voice rates are hilariously cheap, that comes in
handy for international travelers and business people.

The fundamentals- Contacts, Video and Voice
The first thing that pops into everybody’s mind when they hear the word
Skype, is free video and voice chat. That’s exactly what Skype was created
around and is also the core of the software’s main purpose. Apart from those
two, the software does so much more too. It has the option for screen sharing,
direct file transfer, instant messaging, business telephony and even the basic
function of SMS.
When the word ‘free’ is uttered on behalf of Skype, people always worry
about the voice and video quality, it's not quite uncommon to expect this, but
the new software does an admirable job of efficiently condensing and
broadcasting the information. For instance, if a user’s existing bandwidth
radically declines, Skype will involuntarily fine-tune voice quality, to avoid
call drop or voice breakage. In simple terms, the user can still see or hear
the other person, but the quality of voice or video will be reduced based on
the bandwidth availability.
The main two reasons why the quality drops in Skype is either because, of a
slow internet connection or user using low-end aftermarket equipment. Yes,
the software can configure itself according to the computer’s hardware and can
also regulate a voice test to check the quality, but as for any tool, even
Skype has a maximum value of what it can accomplish.
Call features- Easy access and Cheap
Most of the people who are new to Skype will have the notion that they will
be able to call or video chat with their friends, family or clients only if
they have Skype and are online. But, that’s not how it works now, the user will
be able to make calls to anything that resembles a cell phone or a landline, in
any part of planet earth. This feature is called Skype credit, and the user has
to pay for this service, just like a normal phone bill.
The call rates for United States starts from 2.3 cents per minute, but the
user can get unlimited monthly calling plans for as low as $1.09 per month. The
international call rates for developed countries basically range from 2.3 cents
to 3 cents per minute, but for least developed countries it can go up to a $1
per minute. For instance a call to the Republic of Vanuatu can cost the user 83
cents per minute.
It's extremely easy to make an international call, all the user has to do
is click the ‘Call Phones’ tab on the interface, choose the realm they want to
call and just punch in the number like everybody does on a cell phone. That’s
it, and the call in session, as long as the user and caller both have a decent
pair of headsets, the voice quality will be equal to that of a landline, or
sometimes better.
Summary
Until now, in the entire software world, Skype is
perhaps the most powerful integrated communication pedestal available in the
bazaar today. In plain words it’s the best “Freemium” tool that one can ever
get their hands on. The only thing Skype can't do is offer 911 services, but it
does come pretty close to that, on a telephony feature front. Maybe that will
happen in the near future, or it might have already happened and we just don’t
know it yet.
Anatomy of attack is unkonwn. As Snapdeal’s blog is developed with WordPress CMS, It seems that hacker exploited zero day flaw in one of the WordPress plugin and defaced the website.
After exploiting the flaw, Hasnain Haxor succesfully managed to upload the deface page on the Snapdeal Server which raises questions on the Snapdeal’s server security.
This is not the first time Hasnain haxor hacked Indian Site, before the hacker participated in Pak India cyber war and defaced thousand of the websites.
According to the deface page, The Web attack on Snapdeal Server is executed as a payback of hacking Pakistani Sites by Indian Hackers.
The hacker mocked at the security of the Snapdeal that claims 2 billion registered users. The hacker also left a reminder message on the page to fix the security of the website. Blog Address:
